Questions and Answers

We are humbled and honored to be considered as part of your path into health. Below are answers to some of the commonly asked questions regarding our process and what to expect while partnering with us. We want you to be as informed as possible, so if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Have you been told your blood tests are “normal”? Despite the fact that you still don’t feel well and can sense that something is “off” in your body? When a conventional lab test is performed, it is compared against lab values of a large and general population, not necessarily a healthy population. Functional lab tests use a narrower range, striving to identify patterns of dysfunction that are at the root cause of your symptoms, allowing for a more synergistic and whole-body approach. Conventional solutions typically include prescription medication, compared to a functional solution that incorporates a more whole-body, restorative and therapeutic protocol.

Blood test results can provide a wealth of information about your current health status. However, the key is to analyze your biomarker results based on a “functional range” instead of a “conventional range”. The “functional range” is more narrow, specific and seeks lab value patterns that indicate a trend towards problematic health in its early stages, while it still can still be reversed or halted. While a “ conventional range” seeks out established disease through lab value ranges that are based on a broader population, including those who are already ill. Traditional healthcare providers usually do not embrace the concept of a “functional range”.

The answer varies from person-to-person and is based on a variety of variables, such as the number and complexity of issues at hand. Another huge factor is compliance with dietary/lifestyle behavior modifications, consistency in taking supplements and the discipline to feel better. Truly it’s in your hands. However, if the program is followed accordingly, the majority of people begin to feel symptomatic relief in the first month and significant improvements within six to twelve months.

Each person has a unique set of circumstances, therefore we don’t utilize a “cookie cutter” approach and your program may need to be tweaked along the way.  If you are not making the kind of development we would like to see, more testing may be necessary to identify why you are not improving. If we identify any issues that are beyond our scope of expertise, we will immediately refer you to the appropriate medical professional.
